The Free Market Way to Save Endangered Species

According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) database, about 1 in 5 mammals are threatened with extinction. Rates of the threat vary depending upon the group, but it does show a problem. As human population increases, the demand placed upon local area increases, especially in developing countries in Africa and Asia. Government attempts at stopping poachers has not been very effective, and laws that aim to "protect" threatened species often come at the cost of property rights and human care.

Japan's Nuclear Emergency

Recent events in Japan have shown us the dangers of nuclear power plants. Once certain conditions exist, the people who build and maintain these plants have virtually no way of preventing dangerous radiation from spreading to the general population.
How a Nuclear Plant Works
To understand what happened in Japan recently, and at Three Mile Island in the U.S. in 1979, and Chernobyl in the Ukrainian SSR in 1986, you first need to know how a nuclear plant works.

Sustainable Harvesting Practices to Ensure Future Supply of Seafood

Because of the damages that fishing and harvesting of seafood can cause to the oceans and environment, it is important that fisheries take the necessary precautions in ensuring that certain things do not occur while they are harvesting the prey. The PC World of Regulations and Wind Energy Considered

Not long ago, I was reading a report from the Federal Trade Commission which seemed to indicate that there are a lot of businesses that claim to be environmentally friendly, but in actuality cannot produce any empirical evidence proving that they really are. But to that point I would like to call out wind energy. And I have a number of reasons for coming to this conclusion.

LED lamp

First I made an origami ball. Then I taped two batteries together. I connected one side with aluminum foil and connected the LED to see if it would light up. Then I added a resistor, taped it up and connected the red and green wires. These connected the LED light to the battery. Lastly, I put the LED light into the original origami ball.

Lamp Balloon

LED powers many important daily things such as exit signs and laptop screens. Today, I created an origami box. To demonstrate the LED, I created a LED light bulb by connecting wires from the LED light bulb to the two AA batteries. We then put the LED light bulb inside the origami box, thus creating a calm lamp that can last more than a week!
